Interventional Radiologist

Ian Kozlowski, MD is an assistant professor at the University of Kansas Medical Center. He is board eligible for Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology and subspecialty trained in Vascular and Interventional Radiology. Dr. Kozlowski grew up in Sacramento, California and moved to the area to train at the University of Kansas. He enjoyed the high level of interventional services provided by the University of Kansas and was privileged to stay on as staff upon completion of his training. He is an active member of the Society of Interventional Radiology, Radiologic Society of North America, American College of Radiology, International Society for the Study of Vascular Anomalies, Gold Humanism Honor Society, and Alpha Sigma Nu Honor Society.

Dr. Kozlowski’s interest in complex vascular reconstructions, interventional oncology, vascular anomalies, and embolization all stemmed from his passion to provide minimally invasive alternatives for patients whose options are limited or less than desirable.

Following graduation from Creighton University, Dr. Kozlowski obtained a Masters in Biomedical Sciences from Regis University. He then returned to Omaha to attend medical school at Creighton University. After completion of his medical doctorate, he moved to Kansas City with his wife to complete his integrated residency in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at the University of Kansas. Dr. Kozlowski sought out the University of Kansas for training due to their high volume, high complexity, and highly respected interventional radiology practice. The breadth of procedures and pathologies, along with the highly skilled academic physicians allowed him to devise new approaches for treatments of various ailments.

While his focus on his patients is undeniably steadfast, Dr. Kozlowski focuses his non-clinical time on his family. He spends most of this time exploring Kansas City, traveling, and spending time outdoors with his wife and three daughters.
